2018/12/4 I. The 7th draft amendments to the Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Transportation Management Regulations was expected to be published at the end of 2018, after which the real-time tracking systems of shipping vehicles with newly installed GPS vehicle trackers must immediately meet the up-to-date specifications provided in the amended Regulations, and their trackers must pass the pilot test conducted by the TCSB. Service providers are reminded to pay attention to the specifications of newly purchased vehicle trackers so as to continue to be eligible for applying for inspection through the system after the amended Regulations are published.
II. Service providers are hereby reminded that the list of vehicle trackers that have passed the pilot test in Attachment 3 will be announced on this section after the amended Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Transportation Management Regulations are promulgated. Carrier vehicles equipped with trackers that meet the specifications provided in Attachment 3 shall submit an application for tracker update on the system as required by inspection regulations after the amended Regulations are published.
